Customer Questions About Raw Honey

  • What honey will I like best?
Answer by Sarah: That very much depends on your palate! Our Linden honey is a medium sweetness, our Acacia honey is a classic sweet runny honey and our Honeydew honey is best for those who like a strong taste with less sweetness.
  • Does honey expire?
Answered by Sarah: In short, Honey doesn't really expire. In fact perfectly edible honey has been discovered in an ancient tomb in pyramids according to the National Geographic! However, in order to make sure we comply with legislation we put a 'best before' date on the label. Honey can last for millenniums when stored right, i.e. ambient stable temperature, dry and dark place and making sure we always use a dry and clean spoon!

Raw Honey Top Tips

Tip 1: To preserve the enzymes of our raw, natural Honey in cooking keep it below 45 degrees Celsius.

Tip 2: Crystallisation is a natural process honey and it does not affect the quality. Simply heat the jar in Bain Marie, stir and repeat 2-3 times.

Tip 3: Always try to use a dry spoon in honey, it reduces the speed at which crystallisation occurs.
